Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup milk, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

2 tablespoons red food coloring

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

Cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade) for topping

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until combined.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Gradually add more flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form it into a ball, place it in a lightly greased bowl, and cover with a kitchen towel. Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

After rising, punch down the dough and roll it out into a 10x18-inch rectangle on a floured surface.

Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.

Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight cylinder. Pinch the edges to seal the roll.

Cut the cylinder into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them for 25-30 minutes, or until they are lightly golden on top.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling with cream cheese frosting.

Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12 rolls

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a large platter, drizzled generously with cream cheese frosting. Garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder or some decorative sprinkles for added flair.
