Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed sweet potatoes, olive oil, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated with the mixture.
Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded to ensure even roasting.
Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sweet potatoes are tender and caramelized.
If using, sprinkle fresh rosemary over the sweet potatoes in the last 5 minutes of roasting for added flavor.
Once done, remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped pecans or walnuts before serving, if desired.

Optional garnishes can enhance flavor and texture.
