large Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed

heavy cream

freshly grated Parmesan cheese

fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and minced garlic. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and garlic, returning them to the pot.
Add the butter to the hot potatoes and garlic, allowing it to melt.
Begin mashing the potatoes with a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
Slowly incorporate the heavy cream, mixing well to reach your desired consistency.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until fully combined and melted into the potatoes.
Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw.
