Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Gradually add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring until combined.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until it’s smooth and elastic.
Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the risen dough and turn it onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Arrange the dough balls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, placing them close together.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, and black pepper. Brush half of this mixture over the rolls.
Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the rolls have risen, brush the remaining garlic herb butter on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired.
Notes
Serve the rolls warm, arranged on a beautiful platter, garnished with a sprig of fresh herbs for an added touch of elegance.
